Over 4,000 Uzbekistani students studying in Kazakhstan

In 2025, 4,100 Uzbekistani students are studying at universities in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Liter.kz.

Uzbekistan ranks third in the number of international students in Kazakhstan, following Turkmenistan and India. Overall, higher education institutions across Kazakhstan are hosting 35,100 students from 88 different countries.

This figure is 11 percent higher compared to 2024. Among students, the most popular fields of study remain healthcare (12,900 students), education, and information technology.

Kazakhstan's major cities – Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent – have become key hubs attracting students.
