Trump says Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro has been captured

U.S. President Donald Trump said that Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro was captured by American troops and taken out of the country.

Trump wrote about it on the Truth social network, stressing that the United States had successfully carried out a large-scale operation against Venezuela and its leader. According to him, Maduro was detained together with his wife and expelled from Venezuela.

The U.S. leader said the details of the operation would be released later.
