Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov appeared in public at the opening ceremony of a hafiz school in the new village of Sharoy. In the footage, Kadyrov is holding a cane, which has again drawn attention to reports circulating about his health.
Earlier, social media posts claimed that Kadyrov had been urgently hospitalized. However, Chechnya’s minister for national policy, external relations, press and information, Akhmad Dudayev, called these reports false.
He said that on December 29 Kadyrov held a meeting on the results of 2025, on December 31 he congratulated the people on the New Year, and on January 1 he sent new equipment to the area of military clashes in Ukraine.
Although reports of Kadyrov’s hospitalization spread quickly, new information indicating that he continues his work and trips has sparked interest not only domestically but also internationally.
