Al Hilal right-back Joao Cancelo is close to returning to Europe. Inter and Barcelona continue to show interest in the Portuguese player. This is reported by euro-football.rureports.
According to an updated report from insider Fabrizio Romano, the Milan club are ready to offer Al Hilal Stefan de Vrij or Francesco Acerbi to secure Cancelo. The parties have already discussed this option, and now it comes down to which destination the player chooses.
The 31-year-old defender, for his part, is waiting for Barcelona’s final decision. The Catalans are expected to respond in the coming days, but due to financial restrictions the club cannot guarantee even a loan move, even if it covers part of the salary.
Nevertheless, one thing is clear: Cancelo will leave Al Hilal this winter. The player himself is aiming for a move to a La Liga giant as his preferred option.
