
In the first nine months of 2025, Uzbekistan imported over 40,300 electric vehicles from abroad. This is 1.5 times more compared to the same period last year.
The total value of these vehicles amounted to 473 million US dollars. By the beginning of October, the main share of imports came from China — 39,800 electric vehicles.
The rest were from Hong Kong — 249 units and South Korea — 165 units. According to data from the Center for Economic Research, in September, Uzbeks purchased 7,800 electric vehicles.
This figure reached a record level. The sales volume increased by 21.6 percent in a single month.
In the third quarter of this year, a total of 20,700 electric vehicles were sold, which is 2.2 times more than in the same period last year. Electric vehicles were mainly purchased by residents of Tashkent city, Tashkent region, and Samarkand region.
