In November, automobile sales in Uzbekistan significantly increased. According to the data from the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, a total of 101,100 cars were sold throughout the month. This indicates nearly a 6% growth compared to the same period last year, demonstrating stable demand in the market.
The largest growth was recorded in the city of Tashkent. Automobile sales in the capital increased by 33.7%, representing the highest rate in the country. Positive dynamics were also observed in Karakalpakstan, where sales volumes grew by 8%.
In the primary market, namely the segment of new passenger vehicles, growth was even more pronounced. Sales in this sector rose by 15%, with an additional 4,400 cars sold compared to November of the previous year. In particular, locally manufactured new cars saw high demand, with sales reaching 30,000 units, marking a 13.6% increase.
At the same time, the segment of new foreign-made cars also showed increased activity. In November, nearly 5,000 imported cars were sold, reflecting a 22.5% growth. Experts attribute this to a growing range of options for buyers and increased interest in new models.
In the secondary market, however, the overall picture slightly differed. Approximately 52,000 used passenger vehicles were sold across the country in November, an 8% decline compared to the previous year. Despite this decrease, used car sales in Tashkent showed the opposite trend, increasing by 1.4 times. On an annual basis, an additional 3,400 cars were sold in the capital.
Interestingly, there was a sharp rise in interest in electric vehicles in the secondary market. According to reports, sales in this segment grew by 1.8 times, indicating that Uzbek buyers are paying increasing attention to environmentally friendly and modern modes of transportation.
Overall, the results for November demonstrate continued activity in Uzbekistan's automobile market, with significant growth observed in certain segments.
