The number of car owners in Uzbekistan is growing rapidly year by year. According to the National Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2025, 4,725.9 thousand vehicles belonging to individuals were registered in the country.
The largest share, i.e., 92.9%, is accounted for by cars. For comparison, the number of cars increased by 415.3 thousand compared to the same period last year.
Distribution by types of motor vehicles
Passenger cars - 4,392.4 thousand units
Trucks - 312.7 thousand units
Minibuses - 7.5 thousand units
Special vehicles - 7.3 thousand units.
Buses - 6 thousand units
The increase in the number of cars in the country is explained by the mobility of the population, the growing demand for personal transport, and the liberalization processes in the car market in recent years.
