
Veolia Energy Tashkent, operating in Tashkent, announced the temporary suspension of scheduled hydraulic tests of the heating networks from May 30 to July 17.
This decision was made to ensure safety and reliability. According to the company's press service, the current approach to system evaluation and testing is being fundamentally reconsidered.
It is reported that specialists are now developing new, safer methods to identify potentially hazardous sections of pipelines. These methods aim to prioritize public safety during the preparation for the upcoming heating season.
“Our goal is to ensure complete safety and reliability of the heating supply by the 2025–2026 season. Additional information on the next steps and deadlines will be provided soon,” the official statement said.
It should be noted that on the same day, July 10, an underground pipe with a diameter of 800 mm burst at the Medical Institute intersection in the Shaykhontokhur district of Tashkent. This incident caused significant concern among local residents and drivers.
Specialists immediately began to eliminate the consequences of the incident. The company stated that all material damages — to private property, vehicles, and other infrastructure — will be fully compensated by Veolia Energy Tashkent.
