This summit will be held on November 6, and will be attended by the leaders of Central Asian countries and US President Donald Trump. During the summit, the parties will discuss investment and trade issues.
This, in turn, will help provide jobs for American citizens and strengthen the region's economy. Rubio emphasized that the interests of the region and Washington align on issues related to the use of natural resources.
The Secretary of State noted that over the past decade, Washington has not paid enough attention to Central Asia, but now the US government is ready to cooperate with the regional countries on both bilateral and regional levels. In addition, Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau added that Trump has invited the five Central Asian leaders to Washington and aims to have more active dialogue with the region.
