When and where will the CIS Heads of State Summit take place?

The next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS will be held on October 9, 2026, in the territory of Turkmenistan. The summit will be held in the city of Turkmenbashi, located on the Caspian Sea coast.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko. The information was published on the program "Vatan" of the National Television and Radio Company of Turkmenistan.

It is noted that the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in the city of Turkmenbashi. This summit is considered an important international event aimed at strengthening regional cooperation, political dialogue, and economic ties.
