Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim gave an open and critical assessment of his team’s performance after the Premier League match against Wolverhampton. The Portuguese specialist said that throughout the game the Red Devils were unable to control play to the required level.
According to Amorim, the team lacked creative solutions and precise actions. He noted a negative mood on the pitch, which affected both the attack and the overall performance. The head coach emphasized that he tried to start aggressively from the opening minutes by using three forwards, but the plan did not deliver the expected impact.
“We struggled; we lacked both accuracy and creativity. Today just wasn’t our day. Of course we’re not happy with the result, but you can’t change the past. Now we have to look ahead and prepare for the next matches,” Amorim said.
After this result, Manchester United remain sixth in the Premier League table with 30 points. A series of important fixtures still lies ahead, and Amorim hopes the team will learn from its mistakes in those games.
