Ulugbek Mustafayev appointed as the governor of Jizzakh region
Ulugbek Mustafayev has been appointed as the governor of Jizzakh region. His candidacy was proposed by Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during an extraordinary session of the Jizzakh regional council of people's deputies.

Regional deputies and activists shared their views on the nominee. Following the voting process, Mustafayev was confirmed as the regional governor.

The head of state assigned the new governor the tasks of attracting $4.5 billion in foreign investments to the region, increasing exports to $500 million, creating 175,000 jobs, and lifting 15,000 families out of poverty.
