Street hooliganism stopped in Fergana: 15 people detained

In the city of Kokand, Fergana region, individuals involved in street hooliganism were detained in connection with a number of crimes committed on January 17-19 of this year. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to reports, on January 17, a resident of Kokand, along with his supporters, took a minor to a field in the Uchkuprik district and demanded $500 from him weekly. The victim, who was threatened with death for refusing to pay, sustained various bodily injuries, and the $200 he had with him was seized by force.
Having learned about this situation, the victim's acquaintances, along with their group, met with the opposing side in the Alisher Navoi district and on Salang Street in the city of Kokand. As a result of the disagreement, the parties quarreled and fled the scene, inflicting bodily harm on each other.
On January 19, the leader of the first group, along with about 10 supporters, began searching for the leader of the second group in the city of Kokand. It was discovered that they were driving a black Spark, and they were deliberately hit and stopped. Although the people in the car fled, the vehicle was seriously damaged by cold weapons.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Kokand City Department of Internal Affairs under Article 277, Part 3, Clause "g" of the Criminal Code. During operational measures carried out jointly by the Department of Internal Affairs of the Fergana region and the State Security Service, 25 individuals were identified and brought to the investigation.
15 of them were detained in procedural order, and 3 people were sentenced by the court to 15 days of administrative arrest. Currently, investigative actions are underway to identify other individuals involved in the crime.
