In the near future, tourism and service projects worth a total of $2 billion will be implemented in the Jizzakh region. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a session of the regional Council.
As part of these projects, more than 500 new facilities will be established in Zaamin, Forish, and Arnasay districts, as well as in the city of Jizzakh. Recreational zones in Zaamin and Arnasay are set to be operational within a year.
An investment of $300 million has been allocated for these zones, and airports have been constructed in the region. The head of state also addressed the development of the automotive industry in the area.
The Polytechnic Institute of Jizzakh has opened an engineering faculty, where 300 young specialists will graduate annually. “When we talked about the automotive industry in the past, it was only Asaka that came to mind.
Today, together with our partners, we have established a factory in Jizzakh with an annual production capacity of 175,000 vehicles,” the president said.
