OSON supports women's businesses

OSON FinTech holding, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, has become the financial partner of the "Academy for Women Entrepreneurs" (AWE) program in Uzbekistan. This project aims to support the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Karakalpakstan through educational grants.

This initiative reflects the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy, transitioning from short-term charitable activities to a concept of long-term investment in human capital and the region’s economic stability.

According to information released by the organizers, the AWE 3.0 program has garnered significant interest, confirming the relevance of this initiative for regional businesses. During the selection process, 54 participants were invited to the interview stage out of 86 applications received.

As a result, 34 finalists were granted an opportunity to receive education, based on the evaluation of their business models’ expansion and sustainability potential. Geographically, 74% of the participants come from Nukus, while 26% are from other regions of the republic, indicating growing entrepreneurial activity across the region.

The finalists' projects demonstrate diversification within women-led businesses, moving beyond traditional sectors. For OSON, supporting the AWE program serves as a tool to stimulate economic growth and legalize regional incomes by improving access to quality education.
