A 150 MW Energy Storage Facility to Be Built in Zangiota

A 150 MW electricity storage system is planned to be constructed in the Zangiota district of Tashkent region. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.

The investment project will be implemented by China’s Eaglerise Development KH Company Limited. As part of the project, a new company named Mega Energy Power TECH will be established.

In addition to the storage system, plans include the construction of power transmission lines and a substation in Zangiota to connect it to the country’s unified power grid. Once completed, these facilities will be transferred to the "National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan" joint-stock company.

Construction, assembly works, and land development, as well as the design of building and facility foundations, will be carried out in compliance with international standards and under the terms of the signed agreements.
