Cappuccino is cheaper in Uzbekistan as global coffee prices surge

As of January 2026, the average price of a cup of cappuccino in Uzbekistan is around $1.9. This is an interesting signal for coffee lovers in the region: the average is $2.2 in Kazakhstan and $2.6 in Russia. In other words, even for a simple cappuccino, Uzbekistan is still holding a relatively “lighter” price.
However, the backdrop is not that “sweet.” Analysts note that in 2025 major coffee-producing countries felt a strong climate удар. In Brazil, the main supplier of arabica, a severe drought was recorded. In Vietnam, unusually high heat effectively “burned off” part of the robusta crop. These two factors hit the market at the same time: supply shrank and anxiety intensified.
As a result, global exchange prices for coffee raw materials rose by 28% in a year, pushing the price of a pound of coffee to $4.1. Experts say demand growth is not slowing: the café segment is expanding, and at-home coffee-making culture is also strengthening. For this reason, pressure on prices may persist.
Still, for now the situation looks more favorable for consumers in Uzbekistan than in Kazakhstan and Russia. But if the global market’s “hot weather” continues, keeping this gap may become harder. In short: cappuccino is still cheap, but the trend suggests it’s too early to expect a “break” in coffee prices.
