Top-20: How much does each player earn at Manchester City?

Manchester City has taken another serious step in the winter transfer window. The Citizens first enriched their attack with Antoine Semeno from Bournemouth, then brought in Crystal Palace's captain, Mark Gehry, to central defense. Naturally, after such purchases, the media's first question is the same: how much is City paying the new player?
Sources writing about English football have focused precisely on this aspect. In particular, the transfermarkt.world portal has published a list of the top 20 highest-paid players at Manchester City.
At the top of the rating, as expected, is Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker, who extended his contract until mid-2034 last year, reportedly earns €31.5 million annually from the club. In short, the peak of the "City" salary pyramid is still associated with the name of Haaland.
Mark Gehry moved up to the second tier as soon as he arrived in Manchester. The Citizens were prepared to pay €18 million a year to persuade the player, who is considered one of the most reliable central defenders in the league.
Interestingly, team captain Bernardo Silva is currently receiving the same salary - €18 million. However, it is said that the Portuguese star's contract expires on June 30th. It is also mentioned as a possibility that if a new agreement is made, the next salary will not be so high.
The fourth-ranked player in the ranking is Egyptian forward Omar Marmush. His annual salary is estimated at €17.7 million.
Next in line are goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and experienced central defenders John Stones and Ruben Dias, each earning €15 million per season.
There are also no shortage of middle-class "valuables": Tijani Reynders - 13.8, Phil Foden - 13.5, Rodri - 13.2 million euros. It was also noted that Yoshko Guardiol will be paid 12 million euros, and Ryan Sherki's salary will be 10.8 million euros.
It has been suggested that Nathan Ake, who appears more prominently on the bench, is not in a hurry to leave the team because he is receiving €9.6 million. Antoine Semeno agreed to €9 million per season in negotiations - a much "sweet" figure compared to the terms at his previous club. At the same time, Mateo Kovacic and Kelvin Phillips, who haven't yet played in the current season, will also earn 9 million euros per year.
At the bottom of the rating are Mateusz Nunes (7.8 million), Ryan Ait-Nuri (7.2 million), Stefan Ortega (5.4 million), who has not yet played this season, and Savio (4.8 million), whose position in the main squad has "shifted."
The most discussed point was that Uzbekistan national team center-back Abdukodir Khusanov did not make it to the top 20. The media reported that the 21-year-old defender's annual salary at Manchester City is around €3.5 million. So, for this very reason, Khusanov was excluded from the list of high-paying people.
But in football, one thing is clear: salary is status, and play is prestige. If Khusanov continues to grow at the current pace on the field, the numbers may rise "by themselves" in future contract negotiations. "City," on the other hand, has such capabilities: you get trust - the next stage opens automatically.
