Karpin's Advice to Golovin Was a Joke and Sarcasm

The head coach of the Russian national team, Valeriy Karpin, commented on his post about talking with Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin before the game against Real. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Recall that on January 20, Monaco lost 1-6 to Real in the Champions League in Madrid. Before the match, Karpin posted a photo with Golovin, stating that he had given the player some advice.
Karpin emphasized that he did not give Golovin serious instructions: “I watched Golovin's game from the stadium, unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. My advice was a joke and sarcasm. What could I recommend to him? That's what the coach is for,” Karpin's words are quoted by Chempionat.
This season, Golovin has played in 13 matches in the French League, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
