The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan has taken an important step towards introducing artificial intelligence technologies into the country's education system. The government signed a memorandum of cooperation with OpenAI. This document was approved during a meeting in Washington.
According to the memorandum, Kazakh teachers will receive at least 165,000 ChatGPT Edu licenses free of charge annually for three years. This version is intended specifically for educational institutions and aims to effectively organize the educational process using artificial intelligence and increase the level of student learning.
The initiative is aimed at expanding innovative approaches in education, reducing the administrative burden on teachers, and saving their time.
Kevin Mills, Head of Education and Government Programs at OpenAI, said:
"Teachers around the world are able to pay more attention to the learning and development of students with the help of artificial intelligence. The agreement signed with the government of Kazakhstan will allow teachers to effectively use ChatGPT and widely implement it in the education system."
