Telegram users in Russia are complaining about malfunctions

Measures to restrict the activity of the Telegram messenger have begun in Russia. This was reported by RBK, citing sources from industry officials and official agencies.
It was reported that Roskomnadzor began practical work to partially slow down the work of Telegram from February 10, 2026. According to sources, some of the "slowdown measures" have already been implemented, and the official agency has not yet commented on this.
On February 9 and 10, Russian users complained about disruptions and problems in Telegram. Previously, similar cases were recorded in January and December.
At the same time, the Deputy Chairman of the Information Policy Committee, Alexander Yushchenko, stated that this issue was not discussed in the committee. However, he noted that if Telegram does not work in accordance with the requirements of the legislation, there is a possibility of its blocking.
As a reminder, Russia attempted to block Telegram in 2018 for failing to provide the Federal Security Service with message decryption keys. However, in June 2020, these requirements were lifted, and access to the messenger was liberalized again.
