Zelenskyy ordered preparations for the war to continue for another three years

One of the world's leading publications, The Wall Street Journal, published a sensational report about a secret meeting of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a narrow circle of advisors. According to the publication's correspondent, the president acknowledged that peace negotiations were not yielding results and ordered the development of a new strategy against the possibility of the war dragging on for another three years.
"Fake" or bitter truth?
Kyiv officials, in particular, presidential aide Dmitry Litvin, categorically denied this information, calling it "fake." According to Litvin, there was no talk of any long-term war plans or a negative assessment of the negotiations. However, Zelenskyy's recent statement in an interview that "it's better to continue fighting than a bad deal" indicates that the situation is much more serious.
Trump's "final offer" and the crisis of negotiations
It is assumed that US President Donald Trump made a "final offer" to Ukraine on certain terms, but this was absolutely unacceptable for Kyiv. The recent meetings in Geneva also yielded no positive results on regional issues.
The positions of the parties remain sharp:
- Kiev's demand: The withdrawal of troops from Donbass should only take place in parallel with the withdrawal of the Russian army.
- Moscow's demand: Ukrainian troops must withdraw unilaterally, and the country must become a "neutral" zone.
Can Putin be stopped?
According to representatives of European intelligence services, even the complete surrender of Donbas will not stop Vladimir Putin. The war has already become the main pillar of domestic policy for the Russian regime.
According to WSJ sources, Trump is also losing interest in resolving the war quickly. Intelligence data shows that the Kremlin still hasn't abandoned its plan to remove Zelenskyy from power and turn Ukraine into a barrier between the West and Russia.
Even among EU officials, the view that the war will last at least another year to three is becoming increasingly entrenched.
In your opinion, on what issues should the parties make concessions to stop the war in Ukraine?
