Scientists of Uzbekistan and Russia have discovered 7 new species of beetles

As a result of further scientific research conducted jointly by scientists of Uzbekistan and Russia, 7 new species of beetles belonging to the genus Dailognatha were identified.

Specialists of the Khorezm Academy of Ma'mun and a number of research institutions took an active part in the research. Scientists studied previously unknown species of this genus in detail and analyzed their habitat and biological characteristics.

Found mainly in rocky and foothill areas, these beetles are important for nature. They play an important role in the process of decomposition of organic residues, as well as in the preservation of soil fertility.

It is noted that after this discovery, the number of species belonging to the genus Dailognatha worldwide increased from 21 to 28.
