Pensioners were strongly warned

These days, unknown numbers have been calling citizens of retirement age by phone and, saying that their pensions will be increased from next month, asking for plastic card or passport details. The Pension Fund issued an official warning about this.

According to the report, scammers introduce themselves as bank or Pension Fund employees. They tell people: “Your pension will be increased from next month. For this, tell your details and the code that came to your phone — then your pension will be credited to your card. Otherwise, it won’t be increased,” — and by lying in this way they try to gain pensioners’ trust.

The Pension Fund reminded an important point: the Fund’s employees never call and never request personal data or codes that come to the phone.

Therefore, you should never provide strangers with personal information such as passport details, plastic card details, or the JSHSHIR (PINFL) number. If you face such suspicious calls, you should contact 1271 — the Pension Fund’s hotline, or 102 — the internal affairs bodies.
