The recently announced Nintendo Switch 2 version of GRID Legends is expected to launch “soon.” No exact date has been given yet, but the Feral Interactive team shared some technical details about the game while talking with fans on Reddit. This was reported by playground.rureports.
According to the developers, GRID Legends will feature “Graphics” and “Performance” settings in both docked and handheld modes, targeting up to 30 fps and up to 60 fps respectively. Handheld mode will also include additional “Balanced” and “Battery Saver” presets, letting players choose the best mix of frame rate and image quality.
There are no compromises on visual effects either: the Switch 2 version will retain the spectacle seen in mobile versions and on other consoles. Tire smoke, sparks, exhaust flame pops, and many other effects will remain in the game.
GRID Legends will also support the GameCube controller option available via Nintendo Switch Online. The analog triggers are said to work for throttle and braking — Feral Interactive noted that “all of this has been tested and verified.”
