Resident Evil Requiem wishlisted by 4 million people

Since its summer announcement, Resident Evil Requiem has been added to wishlists by 4 million players. The project’s developers announced this on the social network X. This was reported by kursiv.uz.reports.

The surge in interest is said to have been driven by a new trailer shown at The Game Awards 2025. In it, Capcom officially confirmed that the game will feature a second main protagonist — one of the series’ most iconic characters, Leon Kennedy.

The story will be split between Leon and a new character — FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft. Playing as Grace will emphasize stealth and horror elements, while Leon will retain a classic combat style and rely more on active confrontations with enemies.

According to the plot, the ninth numbered entry in the series will take players back to the ruined Raccoon City 30 years after the bombing shown at the end of Resident Evil 2. Despite the devastation, the city remains a source of danger and hidden secrets.

Resident Evil Requiem will be playable in both first-person and third-person perspectives. The game is scheduled to release on February 27 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. The project will also receive full Russian localization.
