Barcelona lose Ter Stegen again to injury

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is sidelined again due to injury. The Blaugrana captain picked up the knock during Tuesday’s training session, Diario Sport reports. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

As a result, the keeper has been left out of the squad for the Spanish Super Cup. Ter Stegen is returning to Barcelona to undergo medical examinations and tests.

Recall that last month ter Stegen recovered from a back injury and had been unable to play since the summer. This season, the 33-year-old has featured in only one match.

In the Spanish Super Cup semi-final, Barcelona will face Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday, January 7. The winner will play in the final against Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.
