Xiaomi has announced that several of its smartphone models will receive EOL (End of Life) status, meaning operating system updates and security patches will be discontinued. According to the new announcement, support for the Redmi 12C will end in early 2026.
According to the published schedule, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro will also receive EOL status in March. The final update for these models will be HyperOS 3. In addition, updates for the Redmi Note 12 5G will stop in March, leaving the device on HyperOS 2.
In October 2026, Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro will receive their final updates. EOL smartphones can continue to function, but they will no longer get new features.
These decisions were made to raise awareness about extending the lifecycle of Xiaomi devices, new support options for existing users, and requirements aligned with user needs.
