Is charging an iPhone in bed dangerous? Apple officially warned

Apple has urged users not to charge smartphones while in bed or while sleeping. This was reported by UNILAND sources, citing Apple's updated support page.

It was reported that at the end of December, Apple updated the official safety instructions for the iPhone, adding a special warning about the risks associated with charging the smartphone at night. The company noted that if the smartphone or power adapter is left in a place with poor air circulation, the device may overheat.

According to journalists, Apple is especially urging people not to leave the smartphone in bed, under a blanket, pillow, or under clothing while charging. In such cases, there is a risk of overheating and even fire.

The Company's notice states:

"Do not sleep on the device, power adapter, or wireless charger, and do not place them under a blanket, pillow, or under the body."
