Elon Musk revealed how he broke the US computer system

Tesla founder Elon Musk surprised his followers with an unexpected recognition on the network. According to the billionaire, he once forced the US Treasury Department's computer system to fail.

"Once, I paid so much tax that it broke the tax service's computer. Too many numbers. They had to update the software to process the data," Musk wrote. This statement sounds particularly impressive against the backdrop of recent data on the businessman's condition. According to Forbes estimates, his capital exceeded $700 billion. Experts do not rule out that Musk could become the world's first trillionaire - especially after SpaceX's sharp rise in value to $800 billion.

Interestingly, the history of Musk's taxes isn't entirely clear. In 2021, Elon himself called his tax payment a record in US history. It exceeded $11 billion. However, as The New York Times reported, his campaign, over more than two decades of operation, received state contracts for very large sums, but paid minimal federal income taxes or did not pay them at all.

At the same time, Musk has repeatedly emphasized that his actual tax rate is about 53% of Tesla's income. During public speeches, he explained that he was not trying to manipulate people to evade taxes. He simply uses common risk-based payment methods.
