Lenovo unveils Legion Go 2 handheld PC with SteamOS preinstalled

At CES 2026, Lenovo announced it will release the Legion Go 2 handheld gaming PC with SteamOS preinstalled, DTF reports. Sales of the updated model are expected to start in June 2026, with the device priced at $1,200. This was reported by kursiv.uz. reports .

As a reminder, Legion Go 2 first went on sale in fall 2025 and at the time ran Windows 11. Lenovo also showcased the more affordable Legion Go S model with SteamOS—stating that in practice this approach has proven effective.

Legion Go 2 will feature a Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, an AMD Radeon 890M graphics chip, an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, and up to 32 GB of RAM. The company expects the SteamOS version to deliver higher gaming performance: in 2025 tests, the Valve OS-based Legion Go S posted gaming results 5–15% faster than Windows 11.
