The trial of a group of teachers who were dissatisfied with the certification process in Tashkent has been completed. They filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, demanding the reorganization of the attestation exams and the payment of compensation for moral damages. However, the court found their demand unfounded and ruled in favor of the ministry.
According to the information, teachers who teach native language and literature mainly participated in the court session held on September 8. Their lawyers also participated in the trial, defending the interests of the plaintiffs. The court session was heard four times under the chairmanship of Judge Guli Shukurlaeva.
Representatives of the teachers noted a number of shortcomings in the certification process. In particular, they stated that the test questions did not fully meet international requirements, the questions were not tested, and objectivity was not ensured in the results. They also cited evidence that the evaluation processes were not transparent.
However, the Ministry's lawyers denied all accusations. According to them, the test materials were developed based on international standards, tested, and the system was accredited by one of the international organizations. Therefore, the results are considered legitimate and fair.
During the trial, the plaintiff requested the appointment of new experts and a review of the quality of the questions and the assessment process. However, this demand was also rejected by the court. As a result, the teachers' demand for re-certification and compensation for moral damages was not met.
According to the court decision, all the teachers' claims were rejected because they were not supported by substantiated evidence. However, during the court session, they were reminded that if they disagree with the decision, they have the right to appeal to a higher court.
It should be recalled that this year about 190 thousand teachers took part in the certification process. About 59% of them failed the exam. This indicator caused widespread discussion among the public. Many complaints were raised on social media regarding the content of the questions, evaluation criteria, and transparency issues.
As a result of these protests, a group of teachers filed a lawsuit against the ministry. They claimed that their rights were violated and that justice was not ensured during the certification process. However, the judicial authorities supported the ministry's side.
