In Uzbekistan, the price of AI-92 gasoline increased significantly in one day. This is stated in the latest data published by the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange.
It was reported that the price of one ton of AI-92 gasoline increased by 7.4% in one day, reaching 12.72 million soums.
The price increase coincided with a decrease in sales volume. According to the exchange, the volume of gasoline sales has decreased by more than two times. For example, on March 13, 3,784 tons of gasoline were sold in the market, while on March 10, this figure was only 1,835 tons.
Economist Otabek Bakirov criticized the situation in the fuel market on his social media page. He emphasized that the rise in oil prices has become an additional excuse for monopoly companies.
Bakirov also noted that the situation was further complicated by the fact that the methane filling stations were closed without providing specific information about when they would start operating.
