Iran attacks despite heavy losses

Iran’s missile and drone attacks have fallen sharply after joint US and Israeli strikes, but military analysts say Tehran still has enough weapons to threaten its neighbors and keep the region tense. The White House said Iran’s ballistic missile force had been effectively destroyed and claimed major success in targeting its military infrastructure. Reports Aljazeera.com.
Even so, Iran continues to launch projectiles. On Monday, Qatar said it intercepted another missile fired from Iran. Alerts were also issued in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, while one missile reportedly struck a car in Abu Dhabi, killing one person. These incidents showed that Iran’s ability to attack has been weakened, not erased.
According to data cited by regional and Western officials, Iran’s launches have dropped steeply since the war began on February 28. Early in the conflict, Iran fired large numbers of missiles and drones in coordinated barrages. Now, the attacks are far smaller, with only a few missiles or drones launched at a time.
Experts say a key reason is the destruction of launchers. Israeli assessments suggest hundreds of launch platforms have been disabled. Still, Iran’s large territory and hidden missile sites make it difficult to eliminate every launcher from the air. Analysts say Tehran may no longer be able to fire massive volleys, but it can still conduct limited strikes with strategic effect.
