Jeremy Doku wants a bigger role at Manchester City

Jeremy Doku is preparing to hold contract talks with "Manchester City" after the end of the current season, according to TEAMtalk. Although the Belgian winger is already tied to the club until June 30, 2028, he reportedly wants a clearer picture of his long-term place in the squad before committing to a new deal.
The report says Doku wants assurances that he remains an important part of Pep Guardiola’s plans. Competition in "Manchester City"’s attacking line has continued to grow, and the 22-year-old is understood to be looking for confidence that he will keep playing a key role in the team’s future.
Doku joined "Manchester City" from "Rennes" in 2023 in a deal worth around 60 million euros. This season, he has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring three goals and providing 12 assists. His pace and ability to create chances have made him a useful option, but his next step now appears to depend on how the club sees him in the seasons ahead.
