On October 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, where he familiarized himself with the work being carried out to widely demonstrate the rich historical and spiritual heritage of the people through the expositions.
In the central part of the building is located the Holy Quran hall. The ancient Uthman Quran, considered a unique spiritual pearl of the Muslim world, will be displayed here. Also included are copies of the holy book of the Samanid, Karakhanid, Khorezmshah, Timurid, and other dynasties, their translations into the old Uzbek language, as well as examples of the world's rarest manuscripts of the Quran.
The complex has departments "Pre-Islamic Civilizations," "First Renaissance," "Second Renaissance," "Uzbekistan in the 20th Century," and "New Uzbekistan - New Renaissance." Information about the activities of our great scholars, as well as the legacy of Imam Bukhari, Imam Tirmidhi, Abu Mansur Maturidi, Bahauddin Naqshband, and other scholars, is widely covered here.
Also, the activities of Bibikhanim, Nodirabegim, Uvaysi, and Anbar Otin, who were patrons of science, enlightenment, and spirituality in history, are presented as a separate exposition.
The Head of State constantly emphasized the need for the effective organization of the center's scientific and educational activities and the enrichment of its content. Information was provided on the ongoing work to strengthen cooperation with the International Islamic Studies Academy of Uzbekistan, the Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, and Imam Moturidi research centers.
During the visit, the President familiarized himself with the finishing and equipping work being carried out in the halls, the essence of the sections and exhibitions, and the interactive technologies being used.
The head of state emphasized the importance of presenting the exhibits in a comprehensively interesting and understandable way for local and foreign visitors. Attention was drawn to the need to increase the number of specialists and guides working at the center, to train them based on special programs.
A number of recommendations were given on further enriching the content of the Center's activities and fully demonstrating the spiritual and scientific heritage through expositions.
