President Mirziyoyev approved the National Program Against Drug Crimes
On November 3, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, approved the National Program to Combat Drug Crimes for 2025–2026. This program includes over 100 practical measures aimed at preventing drug addiction, eliminating illegal trafficking of narcotic substances, and protecting the health of the population, especially youth.

The President emphasized that drug crimes have become a serious threat: since the beginning of the year, over 11,000 crimes have been detected in Uzbekistan, and close to 2.5 tons of narcotic substances have been confiscated. The head of state instructed the creation of a personal data protection system, the blocking of suspicious bank accounts, and alleviating citizens from microloans fraudulently registered in their name.

Additionally, the activities of the cybersecurity center under the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be strengthened, and new expert examinations will be introduced for rapid detection of crimes. Another direction — digitalization of prosecutor oversight.

Mirziyoyev instructed that the process from crime registration to the execution of court decisions should be converted to electronic format, and that artificial intelligence should be utilized in case analysis. Moreover, to increase the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies, training will begin for specialists in artificial intelligence, cyber law, and digital law.
