In Kashkadarya region, a man who had been evading alimony payments and hiding for a long time was found in an unexpected place — under a sofa in his own home. The incident has also sparked active discussions on social media.
According to reports, the case concerns a resident of Chirakchi district. Under a court decision, he was required to pay alimony for the support of his underage child. However, the debtor chose to avoid fulfilling his obligations and went into hiding from enforcement officers.
Despite being officially warned several times by officers of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau, he did not begin making alimony payments. Even several visits to his residence yielded no results — the debtor seemed to have “disappeared”.
As a result, he was declared wanted. During оператив measures carried out by the Search Department of the Kashkadarya Regional Directorate of the Enforcement Bureau, the man was found in his own home, hiding under a sofa in the bedroom.
At present, it has been reported that measures to recover the alimony funds and apply appropriate legal actions against the debtor will be continued.
