The information system called E-Investigation will be launched in Uzbekistan. This was stated in a decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
With the help of this system, all stages of criminal proceedings are planned to be digitized. The system will control the processes of accounting for material damages and overseeing their compensation.
Additionally, from the next academic year, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies will launch full-time training for specialists in the field of cyber law. The decree envisions the establishment of a Center for Digital Technologies under the Prosecutor General’s Office.
This center will be established on the basis of the Department for Introducing Information and Communication Technologies. It should be noted that on November 3, the head of state was informed about the plans to digitize the entire process — from receiving appeals in criminal cases to the enforcement of court decisions.
It is also expected that artificial intelligence technologies will be introduced into the work activities of investigators.
