In Uzbekistan, household spending on barber shops and beauty salons has increased sharply. In the current period, total expenditures in this sector reached 10.3 trillion soums, which is 11 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
By region, the highest level of spending was traditionally recorded in the city of Tashkent. Residents of the capital spent nearly 1.7 trillion soums on beauty services, maintaining the leading position nationwide.
In addition, expenditures in this sector amounted to 1.41 trillion soums in the Fergana region, 1.30 trillion soums in the Samarkand region, and 1.05 trillion soums in the Tashkent region.
Experts attribute this growth to rising household incomes and increasing interest in appearance and personal care. Overall, the beauty industry in Uzbekistan continues to develop actively.
