Uzhydromet issued an urgent warning

Uzgidromet has issued an urgent warning for February 2: in some regions of Uzbekistan, the wind may intensify.

It is reported that in certain areas of Bukhara region, Navoi region, Tashkent region, Samarkand region, Jizzakh region, Syrdarya region, as well as Kashkadarya region, wind speeds may reach 13–18 m/s.

In the capital, Tashkent, the wind is expected to strengthen to around 12–15 m/s.

Therefore, today it is recommended to secure light outdoor items (advertising banners, construction materials, a bicycle/scooter) more firmly and to be cautious near tall trees and power lines. The weather has slipped into a “windy mood” — so don’t be careless either.
