List of free medicines for the population approved
A list of free medications for the population has been approved by the Minister of Health, set to take effect on January 1, 2027. The list, coordinated with the State Medical Insurance Fund, includes 69 types of medications for various illnesses, including cancer, mental health, cardiovascular, and endocrine diseases. Notable medications on the list include Aspirin, Bisoprolol, Omeprazole, Tramadol, Ambroxol, Potassium Iodide, and Heparin. The program will operate on a "reimbursement" basis, allowing patients to obtain prescribed medications for free from contracted pharmacies using electronic prescriptions from their family doctors.
By order of the Minister of Health, the list of medicines to be provided to the population free of charge has been approved. This document is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027.
