Uzbekistan to introduce Unified State Exam system starting from 2027

Starting from 2027, Uzbekistan will launch a Unified State Exam system that combines school graduation and higher education entrance examinations. This innovation is intended to simplify the educational process and reduce the academic workload on students.
According to the new regulations, students will undergo testing in two compulsory subjects: native language and mathematics. Additionally, they will be required to take exams in two further subjects depending on their chosen field and specialization.
The registration process for participating in the exams will take place annually from January 1 to March 31. The system will initially be piloted in certain regions during the 2026–2027 academic year and will be implemented nationwide in 2027–2028.
