Temperatures to rise in Uzbekistan: Weather is preparing unexpected gifts

The final month of spring continues to demonstrate its unpredictability. The unstable weather that began on Monday is expected to give way to scorching heat by the middle of the week. Zamin.uz shares details on the upcoming weather forecast based on data from the Agency of Hydrometeorological Service.
Monday: Rainy conditions in central and eastern regions
Today, on the first day of the week, unstable weather will be observed in the central and eastern regions of the republic. Residents of Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Sirdaryo regions, as well as the Fergana Valley, should be prepared for lightning and short-term rains in the second half of the day. In these areas, temperatures will be around +23…+26 degrees. In the northern and southern regions of the country, no precipitation is expected, and thermometer readings will rise to +32 degrees.
Scorching heat arrives mid-week
From May 5 to May 7, sunny and clear weather is forecast for most of Uzbekistan. Only in some parts of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region is light rain possible. During these days, temperatures will gradually rise:
Nights: +17…+20 degrees;
Days: +32…+35 degrees;
In the southern regions (Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya): up to +38 degrees of heat.
Warning regarding dust storms and strong winds
On May 8, there is a possibility of rain again in most regions of the republic (except for the south and east). At the same time, we warn that wind speeds may increase to 13–18 meters per second between May 6–8, and dust storms may occur in some areas.
Flood risk remains in mountainous areas
Attention to our fellow citizens living in or planning to vacation in mountainous and foothill areas: thunderstorms and rain are expected on May 4–5 and May 8. Specifically, on May 4, there is a risk of flash floods in some locations.
What is the situation in the capital?
In Tashkent, no precipitation is expected on Monday, with temperatures reaching +24…+26 degrees. However, starting Tuesday, true summer weather will prevail in the capital as well — temperatures will gradually rise to +35 degrees. On May 8, the wind may pick up, and some dust may be observed.
