How many days off in May? Unexpectedly long holidays

May is expected to be quite "rich" in terms of holidays in Uzbekistan this year. In particular, additional vacation days will be provided to citizens in observance of May 9 — Day of Remembrance and Honor, as well as Eid al-Adha.
In accordance with the Presidential decree, since May 9, 2026, falls on a Saturday, this day off has been moved to Monday, May 11. Thus, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy consecutive days off from May 9 to May 11.
According to this schedule:
- May 9 — Saturday (regular day off),
- May 10 — Sunday (regular day off),
- May 11 — Monday (transferred day off).

As a result, those working a five-day work week will have 3 consecutive days off, while those on a six-day work schedule will have 2 days off.
At the same time, another favorable opportunity will arise at the end of May. May 28 and 29 have been designated as additional days off for all employees. For those working a six-day work week, May 30 is also considered a day off.
If Eid al-Adha falls on May 27 (the official date may shift by one day), then, including Sunday, there will be an opportunity for a total of 5 consecutive days off from May 27 to May 31.
In short, it is clear that May will delight many not only with its spring mood but also with long holidays.
