Pet cloning service is becoming widespread in China
In China, interest in cloning pets is growing. The Daily Mail reported this. The publication cited the story of Beijing designer Liu Xing. Liu decided to clone his cat Tomcat, which he found on the street about 15 years ago.

As the Tomcat got older, it began to get sick, and its owner Liu Xing did not want to lose his cat. Therefore, he took samples from the animal's skin and turned to specialists. On the third attempt, the specialists managed to create a clone of Tomcat, the new kitten was almost indistinguishable from the original. The cost of the service for Liu Xing was $ 19,000.

Companies that provide this service create clones based on samples taken from the pet's skin. However, this process is not always successful - sometimes it takes several attempts or several clones can appear at the same time. Typically, customers receive cloned animals within 12-18 months.

Although commercial cloning of pets is allowed in China, the ethical issues associated with the popularity of the service are also increasingly discussed by society. Some experts consider this process an intervention in nature and raise ethical questions.

However, for many pet owners, this service remains an opportunity to preserve the memory of their beloved animals and continue the emotional connection they have with them.
