Today, August 10, at 22:00, an unexpected fire occurred in the “Shayman” neighborhood of Jomboy district, Samarkand region, on the territory of a compressed natural gas filling station for vehicles. The report about the incident was promptly delivered to the emergency services.
According to the information, 5 fire-rescue crews arrived at the scene at 22:15. The rescuers managed to fully contain the fire by 22:21 and completely extinguish it by 22:30.
As a result of the fire, various parts of several vehicles — “KIA BONGO”, “DAMAS” and “GENTRA” — were damaged. No injuries were reported in the incident.
At present, the exact cause of the fire and the amount of material damage are being determined. The heads of the regional and district emergency departments personally arrived at the scene and took the situation under control.
Officials urge the population to strictly follow fire safety rules and to immediately contact emergency services in case of dangerous situations.
