Reconstruction of several facilities at Tashkent International Airport has been completed. In particular, the arrivals hall, terrace, and the VIP lounge at the departure terminal have been renovated.
The building's facade was extended, with 2,200 square meters of space added. Now the total area of the waiting hall is about 5,000 square meters, and the number of seats has been increased to 200.
Cafes, bars, ice-cream shops, retail outlets, and a flower shop will open here soon. A new passenger corridor has been built at the airport.
The old corridor is now intended only for tourist buses and official taxis. Currently, two operators are active; soon, four more operators will begin work.
In the second corridor, greeting vehicles and taxi aggregators are allowed to stop, but not for more than 10 minutes. Compliance with time limits is monitored by cameras connected to the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, with automatic fines issued to violators.
The parking area in the arrivals zone has also been expanded — it now accommodates 347 cars. This is considered an intermediate stage of the reconstruction process.
In the future, the arrivals and departures halls will be merged and turned into a single terminal with over 16,000 square meters of space. The airport's capacity will reach 2,400 passengers per hour.
On the second floor of the departure terminal, a terrace with an area of 2,200 square meters has opened. It is equipped with canopies, benches, and a microclimate system.
Soon, several cafes will open here. The renovation of the VIP departure lounge has also been completed.
An additional 300 square meters have been added to the previous 1,100 square meters, expanding the lounge and increasing the number of rest areas.
