On November 10, 2025, Kazakh blogger Arujan Aybekova shared her thoughts regarding the administrative case filed against her following a prank she organized in the Tashkent metro. Aybekova had earlier filmed videos of pranks involving young men in the Tashkent metro and posted them on her social media accounts.
Users of social media in Uzbekistan criticized these actions as disrespectful, emphasizing that such pranks could be perceived as ridicule in a country where women face daily harassment in public transport. In a new video, the blogger could not hold back her tears while listening to an audio message from her mother.
"How will I look people in the eye now? Stop this.
This is not your path," said Arujan's mother. The blogger, however, responded positively, explaining her actions: "I just wanted to spread joy to people, to lift their spirits.
My intention was to fill the surroundings with happiness and love," she said.
