Uzbek Jihadist Detained in the US

A 31-year-old Uzbek citizen, Akhror Bozorov, has been arrested in the United States. He was wanted in Uzbekistan for alleged participation in a terrorist organization.
Bozorov was detained on November 9 in the state of Kansas by officers of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). At the time of his arrest, he was working as a truck driver.
In Uzbekistan, Bozorov is accused of distributing jihadist propaganda materials online and recruiting individuals for terrorist groups. A court in Tashkent issued a warrant for his arrest in 2022.
According to U.S. officials, Bozorov unlawfully crossed the U.S. border in February 2023. Border services detained him but later released him.
In 2024, he obtained a work permit in the U.S. and acquired a commercial driver’s license in the state of Pennsylvania. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
